VASA BRYGGERI PUTS SUNDSVALL ON THE WORLD MAP WITH EXPORT OF SUNDSVALL BEER TO CHINA

The company Origreen has signed an agreement with VASA Bryggeri in Njurunda outside Sundsvall to export large volumes of Sundsvall's beer to the Chinese market. This is part of the process of developing new products for foreign markets such as China, but also for other countries over time. In an extension, the classic soft drink Portello as well as the traditional Christmas must can also be exported to China through this collaboration.

- We are very happy that our products are being noticed not only at home but also abroad. This shows that Swedish quality products have great value on the international market, says the company's CEO and co-owner Niclas Nilsson.

- We are also developing a variant of our brand "Rent Norrländskt Vatt'n" with natural aromas and flavors of blueberries and birch sap. This specifically for the Chinese market, explains Niclas.

The company Origreen mediates all types of food from Europe. Within the beer category, it has mostly been about mainly Spanish and German beer, but lately beer from Scandinavia has been increasingly in demand. This has led to the collaboration between VASA Bryggeri and Origreen. The agreement includes a minimum of 60 containers with approximately 2 million bottles of Sundsvalls Öl per year for five years. Sundsvalls Öl is an organic light lager beer in an international style, which is appreciated in many parts of the world regardless of nationality.

- Once the Chinese borders open up again after closure, there is a great need in China for products from other countries. Everything from fish to grain and beer, explains Jaffe Wu at the company Origreen.

- When we showed and presented Sundsvalls Öl in China to one of our customers this summer, there was a lot of interest among several others, says Chao Liu, principal owner of Origreen.

- This is not only an interesting volume addition for VASA Bryggeri. It is interesting for the entire region because part of the purpose of this is to put Norrland and above all Sundsvall on the world map, says Niclas Nilsson.
